Like much of America, The Daily Show's host was exasperated by the verdict of the Rod Blagojevich corruption trial, wherein "bonehead" prosecutors and a "bought and paid for jury" managed to botch a conviction on all of the twenty-four counts except, "the lying thing...that one was kind of a slam-dunk." If there was one winner in the whole sordid affair, he notes, it had to be Blagojevich's legal team, "who are apparently from the firm Rickles and Palpatine."
