As The Daily Show has demonstrated with such aplomb over the years, it's easy to take a news clip out of context in order to (perhaps unfairly) mock the participants (often a hapless interviewer). That said, this Fox News segment is pretty low-hanging fruit. In it, anchor Jenna Lee poses two rudimentary questions to Rep. Chris Van Hollen. The first: "What is a Democrat?" And the second, naturally: "How is that different from a Republican?"

The Wire would like to give Lee the benefit of the doubt. As one colleague observed, "maybe she had a teleprompter that wasn't working?"  You be the judge:
