The early reaction to Levi Johnston's candidacy for mayor of Wasilla has been less than enthusiastic. That's likely to change once pundits and voters see the campaign ad the folks at Slate whipped up for him. The 50-second spot stresses Johnston's outsider credentials (heroically refusing to marry into the Palin family) and real-world experience (mainly with softcore porn). It's the Scott Brown model shifted north. Now he just needs a pickup truck, some campaign money, and perhaps even some voter support.
