After obliterating the "bought and paid for" jury in the Blagojevich trial last week, Jon Stewart began his sit-down with the former Illinois governor surprisingly tamely last night. By the end of the first part of the interview, however, The Daily Show host unleashed one of his trademark archival footage traps that caught the usually unflappable Blago flat-footed.

After Stewart posed a question about what the ex-governor had said after making his infamous phone-call remark, "This Senate seat is F****n golden," he showed archival footage of Blagojevich retorting that the next few lines of the call clarify that it "was about helping the state of Illinois." Stewart then proceeded to unveil the actual, contradictory audiotape from that phone call, leaving Blagojevich momentarily speechless.
