Against his lawyer's advice, embattled New York Congressman Charlie Rangel took to the House floor this afternoon to defend himself against corruption allegations. The Associated Press called the ensuing speech "extraordinary." Twitter had a somewhat different reaction.
Rangel is, um, not resigning. And he just talked for 20+ minutes on the House floor.
One senior Dem aide to me re Rangel on the floor right now: "This is a trainwreck."
