There was a time not so long ago when Bill O'Reilly saying Barack Obama and other Democrats are "not in-sync with white working class values" would have resulted in a major media firestorm. Instead, the remarks generated barely a ripple in the blogosphere today. How to explain the muted reaction? We're not completely sure. On the one hand, O'Reilly strikes a reasonable and thoughtful tone throughout. On the other hand, he's saying the first black president "separated himself from many blue-collar working white people, simply because they see he doesn't understand them" and is being hampered by his "cultural disposition."
