Good Question!

Why Does CNN Need 24 In-Studio Analysts?

Ray Gustini Nov 2, 2010
Like most of you, we are watching the midterm results on cable. Also like many of you, we are wondering just how many panelists are participating in CNN's election coverage. 50? 8000? NOBODY KNOWS.

Actually, we do, because we counted. 24. CNN has 24 panelists. MSNBC and FOX only have six and eight, respectively. This isn't even a hard number. We just added them all up. It's entirely possible George Allen and Dee Dee Myers are napping in the green room, waiting for a PA to come get them.

By way of comparison, there are fewer than 24 of each of the following:
  • John Irving novels
  • Warsaw Pact countries
  • Members of the United State Cabinet
  • Letters in the Irish alphabet
  • People not on CNN
