The world found out today that Sarah Palin had filed for trademarks on the names Sarah Palin® and Bristol Palin® in 2010. Did she trademark the phrase "mama grizzly?" Can you no longer say that you, too can see Russia from your house? The twitter-verse had some things to say.

The Atlantic's Joshua Green noted that she was hardly the first.
