When computers turn against us--and they will--there will be only one man capable of saving us from all-out war with our own technology: a representative from...New Jersey? That's right, people. The Hill points out that New Jersey Representative Rush Holt beat Watson, the IBM supercomputer, at "Jeopardy!" last night on Capitol Hill. Holt, a nuclear physicist and five-time "Jeopardy!" champion,  was one of five members of Congress to go up against the robotic genius but the only one to defeat him.

Back in January, people started planning for the apocalypse when Watson dominated all-time "Jeopardy!" champion Ken Jennings at his own game. Now that Holt has proven he is smart enough to save us all when the time comes, those same Chicken Littles are breathing a sigh of relief. Daily Intel's Dan Amira thinks Holt should "seriously start thinking about running for the presidency in 2016, for he seems to be the only person capable of leading the country--and the human race--to victory in the coming war against the machines." And Natalie Wolchover at Live Science even feels confident enough to declare: "there's hope for mankind after all."

And it's all coming not just from the House of Representatives, folks, but from New Jersey. Ponder that for a second.
