A drunk campaign worker for Tim Pawlenty scared a teenage girl as he tried to break into her family's back door at 3 a.m. on Wednesday. In the middle of the night, 15-year-old Chloe Steward went to see what her dog was barking about when she saw a man's arm pushing through her back door. She screamed and ran into her parents' room.

Benjamin Foster, the offending drunk, was arrested and charged with trespassing and public intoxication. KCCI Des Moines reports that the Steward family, of Ankeny, Iowa, said Foster was trying to get to a friend's house when "he vomited in their backyard and scared their daughter."

The Pawlenty Exploratory Committee confirmed it employs Foster. Might Stephen Colbert deem this another cynical ploy by Pawlenty to target the youth vote? Or is this the start of a viral door-to-door canvassing comedy sketch?
