After simply being told "Osama bin Laden is dead" by the president, Bush responded "good call." An ABC News contributor attended a Las Vegas hedge fund conference on Wednesday and said that Bush gave his first public account of how he learned the news during dinner in Dallas. "I was eating souffle at Rise Restaurant with Laura and two buddies," Bush said. "I excused myself and went home to take the call." George Bush previously declined a public appearance with the president at Ground Zero last week, deciding instead to let his public statement ("No matter how long it takes, justice will be done") serve as his remarks on bin Laden's death.
