Sarah Palin says it's just a coincidence that she'll trample all over Mitt Romney's special day by making a big splash in New Hampshire on her quasi-campaign bus tour just as he's there announcing he's for real running for president. "I think that's exciting for him, that's great for him," Palin said. "It's coincidental that we are in the same territory at the same time, but more power to Mitt as he mounts his campaign and best of luck to him." Palin will be hosting a lovely clambake on the shore while Romney presents himself as a serious man at some place called Bittersweet Farms.

Palin is also hanging onto her Fox News gig for now. Fox spiked the contracts of contributors-turned-candidates Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich once their presidential bids started looking serious. But Palin met with Fox News chief Roger Ailes while she was in New York this week, and her status at the network remains unchanged. She did not offer to resign, CNN's Peter Hamby reports, and cautioned reporters not to read take the meeting as a sign of anything.
