FoxNews.com is reporting that police are looking into messages exchanged between Rep. Anthony Weiner and a 17-year-old girl in Delaware. Jana Winter, who says she was at the home interviewing the girl at the time, reports, "Two officers from the New Castle County Police Department arrived at the girl's home around 4:30 p.m. and asked to speak with the girl's mother about the daughter's contact with Weiner. Another officer appeared at the home a short time later." According to Winter, "the girl followed Weiner on Twitter after seeing him speak during a school trip to Washington on April 1. Weiner, after signing on to follow the girl's Twitter feed, direct-messaged the girl on April 13, the sources said, though it is not clear what other communication the two may have had between or after those dates."

The New Castle Police Department in Delaware told The Atlantic Wire that officers had responded to a call in the area but could confirm neither the age of the girl involved nor the connection to Weiner.
