--President Barack Obama, after touring Carnegie Mellon University’s National Robotics Engineering Center. During the visit, Obama announced he was designating $500 million in federal funding to a partnership with businesses and universities that will invest in emerging technologies and manufacturing as part of a job-creation bid.
