A lot of veto threats have been flying around as the deadline to raise the federal debt ceiling looms. But Hillary Clinton is now urging President Obama to veto something else entirely: The Secretary of State says she would "personally" suggest Obama veto a foreign affairs bill making its way through the House of Representatives if it's passed in current form. Clinton says the bill would be "debilitating to my efforts to carry out a considered foreign policy and diplomacy,"  The Hill's Pete Kasperowicz reports. Is it going out on the limb to say that relations between the administration and Congress have been better?

In a letter to Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, chair of the House foreign relations committee, Clinton was clear: "The Department of State opposes this bill," she added. "Should this bill be presented to the President, I will recommend personally that he veto the bill." Clinton's objections include that the legislation would reinstate the Mexico City Rule, which forbids government money from going to any aid organization that mentions abortion.
