Polls have been scathing to the major D.C. power brokers as the debt ceiling dilemma reaches fever pitch: Barack Obama, John Boehner, and Eric Cantor have all taken notable polling blows recently. Here's another: Rasmussen just published a report finding the highest recorded amount of likely voters who "view most members of Congress as corrupt." That would be 46 percent of the polling sample. And the polling outfit also notes that Americans' always-low opinion of Congressmen has sunk lower: 6 percent rate Congress's performance as "good" or "excellent" and 85 percent "think most members of Congress are more interested in helping their own careers than in helping other people."
