President Obama cut his Martha's Vineyard vacation short Friday as Hurricane Irene ruined his weekend plans just like it's ruined everyone else's. Obama had planned to finish his vacation Saturday, but instead will head back to Washington, D.C. Friday night, before the storm hits the city.

Many Republicans criticized Obama's vacation, calling on him to come back to Washington and call back Congress from recess. But only Irene was able to pry the president from his nine days off.
