Obama Will Unveil 'Fresh' Jobs Ideas in September Speech

Obama's three-day Midwestern bus tour didn't get much attention (other than a face-to-face disagreement with a Tea Partier), and for good reason: he's saving all his new job growth ideas for a speech in September, right after the Labor Day holiday. The Associated Press, which was informed by an unnamed senior administration official, reports that "all of Obama's proposals would be fresh ones, not a rehash of plans he has pitched for many weeks and still supports." But they seem, on first glance, a bit familiar: "The president's plan is likely to contain tax cuts, jobs-boosting infrastructure ideas and steps that would specifically help the long-term unemployed," relays the AP.
