Former New York mayor Ed Koch's concerns about the president's Israel stance (which led him to endorse Republican Bob Turner in New York's special election) aren't stopping him from backing Obama. As Politico's Ben Smith reported, Koch wrote that he's "now on board" as a supporter. The development is a change from when the The New York Times reported a little over a week ago that Koch was ready to take his critique of the president's Israel stance to a national stage. At the time, the paper wrote that the "Obama administration already appears to be concerned about that possibility." That doesn't appear to be a problem anymore, as Koch's issues with the president's over Israel seem to be mostly assuaged, according to his statement:

The President should be praised for intervening with the Egyptian army to save the Israeli diplomatic personnel from physical assault and providing the Israeli military with bunker buster bombs, advanced military technology and providing military intelligence cooperation far exceeding his predecessors. I’m now on board the Obama Reelection Express.
