President Obama will compare the Republican primary to a reality TV show while sitting on the couch of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Tuesday evening. In the excerpt of the appearance, which was taped on Monday night while Obama was in Los Angeles for fundraisers, Leno asks him whether he's been watching the Republican presidential debates, and Obama replies, "I'm going to wait until everybody is voted off the island before -- [applause] -- Once they narrow it down to one or two, I'll start paying attention."
Elsewhere in the interview, Obama also expressed some regret about the circumstances of Muammar Qaddafi's death and takes some light-hearted ribbing about his low poll numbers from Leno. Watch a clip here:
