Herman Cain skipped out on an entire decade's worth of furious debate over the Iraq war, because he doesn't know what a neoconservative is. He appears to have never heard the term. On Meet the Press Sunday, host David Gregory asked Cain if he was a neoconservative. Cain had no idea what Gregory was talking about, saying, "I'm not sure what you mean by 'neoconservative.'" So, Gregory asked if he was familiar with the neoconservative movement. Cain said, "I'm not familiar with the 'neoconservative movement. I'm familiar with the conservative movement." This is after Cain said the Iraq war was not a mistake and cited former ambassador to the U.N., John Bolton, a prominent neoconservative, as a man whose writing he admires.
