South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley gave Mitt Romney her endorsement on Fox and Friends this morning, giving him both a solid conservative nod and an endorsement he actually wanted. It's a great thing for the Romney, who's been trying very had to prove to his party that he's a true "conservative"--which includes stumping for DOMA and even warming up to ex-witch and Tea Party darling Christine O'Donnell. And in the world of politics where words (especially from conservatives) mean just as much as actions, Haley (also a Tea Party darling), her conservative credentials, and her pull in the key state of South Carolina make her, as Politico's Jonathan Martin puts it, "one of the most sought-after remaining Republican endorsements."
