Seemingly succumbing to the various fellow GOPers pressuring him to stop bashing financial professionals like Romney, Newt Gingrich is walking back the attack ads against Mitt that his campaign his super PAC is running. "I am calling for the Winning Our Future Super-PAC supporting me to either edit its 'King of Bain' advertisement and movie to remove its inaccuracies, or to pull it off the air and off the internet entirely," Gingrich wrote in a statement, according to Buzzfeed. To be fair, inaccuracies in the 28-minute anti-Bain & Co. spot have been pointed out by The Washington Post and Politifact. But the pressure for Gingrich to stop blasting Romney for his work at Bain & Co. must have gotten to him, since the press release put Gingrich in the awkward position of praising "100,000 jobs" Romney created while at Bain. It's also awkward to see Gingrich "calling" for anything from a political action committee he's never ever suppose to coordinating with while campaigning. But we suppose it's just the latest chapter in the legal fiction that is the super PAC.
