What does Rick Santorum get for winning Tuesday's useless primaries in Minnesota, Missouri, and Colorado? Not any delegates, but the $2.2 million his campaign raised in the two days since after isn't a bad consolation prize. Santorum's communications director made sure to advertise on Twitter that as of 7 p.m. last night, the former Pennsylvania senator's "campaign had raised about 2.2 million dollars in two days." Daily Intel notes that it's more than Santorum raised in all of 2011. Which is a fantastic personal best, but it isn't much compared to the much-moneyed Mitt Romney, who for example raised $1.3 million at a single event last night and has several tens of million dollars more in his campaign coffers. But we're sure to note that in the count that matters even more -- the number of delegates --  Romney is beating Santorum by a much slimmer margin of 94 to 71. And for what it's worth, it looks like we might be on the cusp of yet another Santorum surge in the polls.
