The cause of gay marriage in Maryland has brought together two unlikely allies: former Vice President Dick Cheney and Michael K. Williams, who played Omar Little on The Wire. Cheney, whose daughter is gay, has been lobbying Republican state lawmakers in Maryland to get them to vote to allow same-sex marriages, the Baltimore Sun reports. Williams filmed an ad for Marylanders for Marriage Equality talking about his time in "B-more" filming the cult TV show. Both Cheney and Little were known for their menacing roles, so it's nice to see them put to use for the sake of love.
