Republican Rep. Darrell Issa, whose House Oversight and Government Reform Committee has been charged with investigating the $822,751 team-building conference the General Services Agency held in Las Vegas in 2010, has posted a pretty embarrassing video made during conference to his YouTube page, and, oof, it definitely doesn't make them look great. In it, a GSA employee sings about what his life would be like as commissioner of the agency to the tune of Travie McCoy's "Billionaire." Some sample lyrics that don't work so well in light of the ensuing scandal:
Cause I buy everything your field office can't afford.
Every GS-5 would get a top hat award.
Donate my vacation, love to the nation,
I'll never be under OIG investigation
Eesh. Apparently the Agency handed it over to Issa, yesterday The Washington Post reports. For their part, the GSA said pretty much the only thing they could to the Washington Post, with a spokesman noting it was “another example of the complete lack of judgement exhibited during Western Regions conference.” Issa, for one, seems to be relishing in this, tweeting "unearthed this gem while investigating the lavish Vegas convention." And hey, with source material like this you kind of can't blame him.
