Mitt Romney didn't waste any time pulling his wife Ann into the fray at his address to the National Rifle Association on Friday,  a speech his advisors say marks the beginning of the general election. "There's one more person I would like to introduce. This is a hero of mine," Romney said, catching the wake of the Hilary Rosen controversy that lit up the politics blogs on Thursday. "I happen to believe that all moms are working moms, and if you have five sons, your work is never over. My sweetheart, Ann Romney." (Read the full transcript here.)

What followed was nothing less than boilerplate language about liberty, taxes and American prosperity. He mentioned the word "gun" exactly once."We need a President who will enforce current laws, not create new ones that only serve to burden lawful gun owners," said the candidate. "President Obama has not; I will." Ann, meanwhile, did her own politicking at the NRA Women's Leadership Luncheon, and, like a good mom, got some good snapshots of the party guests. Via Instagram:
