29-Year-Old Obama Campaign Aide Dies After Collapsing at Chicago Headquarters

Alex Okrent, 29-year-old aide for President Obama's reelection campaign, died Friday after collapsing at campaign headquarters in Chicago, USA Today reports. Okrent worked on Obama's 2004 and 2008 campaigns, and was working in the 2012 campaign's paid media department. He fell ill and was taken to the hospital, where he died. The president learned of Okrent's death while campaigning in Virginia Friday and called his family to offer condolences. Mitt and Ann Romney also sent condolences.
