Conservative Kids' White House Protest Ruined by Suspicious Package

About 30 conservative youngsters had their fun ruined Monday when their protest calling for the firing of Attorney General Eric Holder was broken up by a suspicious package. What they demonstrated was not so much the need for Holder's exit as the folly of youth. The Secret Service cleared crowd in front of the White House when a backpack sat too long unclaimed. “To me, it seems like a bit of an overreaction to evacuate the entire — like — I don’t know. Was the White House evacuated?” protest organizer Oliver Darcy told The Daily Caller's Matthew Boyle.

Darcy's protest permit was for two hours, but they only got to protest for about 45 minutes, and Darcy smells a rat. After about half an hour, a middle-aged woman stepped forward to say the bad was hers. "It did seem very odd that during a protest of Attorney General Eric Holder and Barack Obama in front of the White House that all of a sudden there was a mysterious bag left — accidentally, right?" Darcy said. "I really don’t know, but she [the backpack's owner] looked like she was pretty sincere that she left it accidentally, but I’m not a secret service agent so I don’t know what the protocol is… I’ve taken part in multiple protests in front of the Supreme Court, in front of the Capitol Building, in front of the White House. Never have I seen anything like this before."

There's a lesson here, folk: Liberal or conservative, it doesn't matter. Kids are all the same. First, they wrongly imagine their small protests might change somebody's mind, maybe even someone important. Second, they're prone to conspiracy theories. Third, and somewhat related to the second, they're megalomaniacs, imagining they're so important that government agencies would conspire to censor their protest.
