John Bryson, who resigned as President Obama's commerce secretary last month after he was involved in two hit-and-runs, won't face charges for the incident, The Associated Press reports. Bryson caused two car accidents within minutes before he was found unconscious in California in June. He tested negative for alcohol and early reports suggested a seizure. He stepped down while this all got sorted out in order to "prevent distractions," but perhaps he should have held out a bit longer, as the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office says there won't be any criminal charges, which seems to indicate that his medical explanations were real. Meanwhile, the official recognition probably further plants American Crossroads' foot in its mouth.
