Before the RNC aired Mitt Romney's biography video, Jon Stewart had an "advanced copy" that he showed last night on The Daily Show: "Mitt Romney: A Human Who Built That."
It was not luck, the film explains, that Romney was born to wealthy George Romney. He competed against other, weaker sperm, including one who was a teacher and another who was a welfare cheat. Romney also refused, on principle, to pay for schooling with public money, instead getting a local businessman (George Romney) to invest.
In all his success, when Romney approached the final frontier of gaining the presidency, he realized a "terrible truth" about his rule as governor of Massachusetts: "He had built himself the wrong way." So with money and a lot of work, Romney rebuilt himself into the conservative guy he is today.
