Now that we know who is on both the tickets, it's time to plan your presidential debate watching parties. The Commission on Presidential Debates has released its plans for the fall throwdowns between the White House contenders. There will be three presidential debates and one vice-presidential debate, all in October, with the last one coming just two weeks before Election Day.

Our first take? Well, Bob Schieffer may have a chance to redeem himself. This morning we reported on the softball questions he gave the Romney/Ryan twosome on 60 Minutes last night, and it looks like he'll have control of the final debate before the election. The other takeaways: expect a Medicare question in Boca Raton, Florida, and a gun control question at the Denver debate on October 3. Also note that there are two women moderators this year — Candy Crowley and Martha Raddatz — including the first one to handle presidential debate duties in 20 years.

Here are the dates and location (note that the second debate will be a town meeting-style where citizens will ask the questions), via the Commission on Presidential Debates:

First presidential debate:

Jim Lehrer, Executive Editor of the PBS NewsHour
Wednesday, October 3, University of Denver, Denver, CO

Vice presidential debate:

Martha Raddatz, Senior Foreign Affairs Correspondent, ABC News
Thursday, October 11, Centre College, Danville, KY

Second presidential debate (town meeting):

Candy Crowley, Chief Political Correspondent, CNN and Anchor, CNN's State of the Union
Tuesday, October 16, Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY

Third presidential debate:

Bob Schieffer, Chief Washington Correspondent, CBS News and Moderator, Face the Nation
Monday, October 22, Lynn University, Boca Raton, FL
