The worst part of telling a bad joke is having to explain it afterwards, which Madonna is now doing after confusing people with her terribly-delivered "black Muslim in the White House" endorsement.  "I was being ironic on stage. Yes, I know Obama is not a Muslim – though I know that plenty of people in this country think he is. And what if he were?" Madonna said through her spokesman, referring to a widely-circulated video of her at the D.C. stop of her MDNA tour. If you watch the video, what Madonna calls "ironic" to us sounds to us more like poorly-delivered sarcasm (hence the "confusion"), and irony would be more like the conservatives who rallied behind her Muslim assertion ("Why of all people on the #left is #madonna the only one who can see through the#burka #Obama wears?")--but that's getting technical. Back to Madge: "The point I was making is that a good man is a good man, no matter who he prays to. I don't care what religion Obama is – nor should anyone else in America."
