Nothing can stop President Obama's from winning his party's nomination this week, but it seems that weather is forcing him to move his acceptance speech from an outdoor football stadium to the smaller indoor arena. Scattered thunderstorms are in the forecast for Thursday night in Charlotte and despite earlier assurances to the contrary, it will apparently not be a rain or shine event as the DNC has just announced the location switch. 

Conspiracy theorists out there may also see something else at work in move, however. There were numerous reports that the party was having trouble filling the 74,000+ seat Bank of America Stadium, which threatened to leave some embarrassing holes in the crowd during his most important televised speech of the campaign.(About 65,000 of those seats would have gone to the public. His 2008 speech at Denver's Invesco Field drew around 84,000.) Now Obama will have a smaller, but much louder (and drier) reception in the Time Warner Cable Arena.
