The Obama Campaign's Desperate Fundraising Emails Worked

An analysis of Obama campaign emails revealed today that supporters will cough up $690 million if you guilt trip them hard enough. One commenter recalls the desperation flooding his inbox. Rhett Chassereau writes: 

Those emails...every single one of them made it sound as if me and my suggested donation of $5 was humanity's last, best hope. I'm surprised I didn't get an email asking me if I was a bad enough dude to rescue the president from ninjas:

We're sure one of those nerds who made the Obama campaign such a success is already working on a retro arcade game emulation based on the election. We just hope they resist the urge to call it Horses and Bayonets
