The Twitterverse is in shock right now because the White House just announced that Mitt Romney will be having lunch with President Obama tomorrow at the White House. That ugly campaign and the winner-loser dynamic will make this whole thing awkward, right? Well, shake off the shock, guys: Obama told us exactly three weeks ago this would be happening. "In the weeks ahead, I also look forward to sitting down with Governor Romney to talk about where we can work together to move this country forward," Obama said in the wee hours of November 7 during his victory speech. Weeks ahead ... November 29 lunch ... — well at least he made good on his word. Going by what Obama said that early-early morning, we'll have to take his word that those two will stay on topic and "move this country forward" instead of gabbing about what we've seen Romney doing lately — catching the latest Twilight movie, pumping gas, visiting Disneyland — because no press will be allowed to see if this things gets as awkward as we all think it's going to be. Play nice, fellas.
