John McCain is going to join a Senate committee just in time to vet Susan Rice, or whomever President Obama nominates for Secretary of State. The Arizona senator will join the Senate Foreign Relations committee, Foreign Policy's Josh Rogin reports. McCain has been leading the campaign against Rice for saying on Sunday talk shows that the September 11 attacks in Benghazi were related to an anti-Islam video. "I have some concerns about what happened in Africa under her watch. All that has not been examined," McCain told Rogin. And now he will have ample opportunity to examine it. McCain's term as ranking Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee is up, but he'll remain on the committee.
