The Day Jobs of the 113th Congress

Who, exactly, is in Congress? While you might know your representatives, you might be interested to know that the Senate has three "farmers and ranchers" (one more than the last congress). The House has 12 (one fewer than the last). Dorothy Gambrell at Bloomberg Businessweek made a chart looking at the official (non-Congressional) professions of the 113th Congress, drawing from congressional and campaign websites, the Congressional Biographical Directory, the American Legion, and the LGBT Equality Caucus. At the bottom Gambrell adds some other statistics. Note, for instance, that the 113th Congress has one fewer mustache than the 112th. (That "does not count mustaches worn as a part of beards." Just FYI.)
