Hillary Springs to Action After Inquiry Scolds Her Over Benghazi Attack
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will testify on the State Department's involvement — and failures — in the September attacks in Benghazi, Libya, on January 22, one day after President Obama's inauguration on the Washington Mall. Senator Bob Corker, who serves on the Senate's Foreign Service Committee, revealed the date during an on-air interview Tuesday afternoon with NBC's Andrea Mitchell :
“I had some very good conversations with her chief of staff,” Corker told Mitchell. “My sense is, her hearing probably will take place the morning of the 22nd.” [...]
“She’s anxious to want to come up and testify on Benghazi, and I think that’s an important thing both for her and for our entire country,” Corker said.
