Michelle Obama's Inauguration Day Style Is Based on a Men's Tie
Michelle Obama wore a bright red halter dress designed by Jason Wu to President Obama's second inaugural ball. The chiffon-and-velvet gown was custom made for Obama by Wu, and her shoes are by Jimmy Choo. With her new bangs, the first lady's hair was tousled at the ends. The first couple danced to Al Green's "Let's Stay Together," as sung by Jennifer Hudson. (Update: here's how the dress compares to inaugural ball of presidential past, and here's what she's wearing Tuesday — and why it matters.)
