John Kerry breezed through his chummy confirmation hearing today, but what countries will he blaze through in his role as Secretary of State? The Washington Post made a graphic mapping out every country visited by a U.S. Secretary of State since 1989. On the map each country is color-coded by the number of times it was visited. Note countries that have never been visited such as Iran, Somalia, and Chad. You can also click on specific Secretaries of State to see where they have been, and scroll down to see which Secretary visited which country the most. Warren Christopher, for instance, visited Israel 34 times.
