In Le Monde's Corine Lesnes cites Limbaugh in a heap of criticism to the American response in Haiti, saying Limbaugh "accused [the president] of courting the African American community at a moment when they feel abandoned by their 'post-racial' president." Le Figaro's Yves Thréard is similarly skeptical of the American president's motives: "Each engagement hides intentions. Barack Obama, low in the polls, criticized for his foreign policy, is seizing the opportunity to restore his image."
