The use of informational graphics is widespread in Web writing--especially commentary. What better way to make your point, and have that point go viral, than to put it into a colorful chart? That reasoning has led many people to churn out a huge variety of such graphics.

But Phil Gyford thinks the infographics craze has finally gone too far. (That could certainly help explain this collection of 17 infographics on Obama's health care plan.)
