Rupert Murdoch, Steve Jobs: 'Bromance For the Ages'?

Ray Gustini 345 Views Sep 3, 2010
Being rich and powerful is great, but it leaves little time for making friends. But as Daily Finance's Jeff Bercovici observes, running an international media empire hasn't stopped Rupert Murdoch and Steve Jobs from pursuing "a bromance for the ages." Bercovici notes that this week's announcement that News Corp. would make its shows available on Apple TV for 99 cents was the latest in a series of bro-tastic moments between the two moguls. The Wall Street Journal is already selling subscriptions to the iPad edition of the paper, he notes, and Apple approved an iPad app for the Murdoch-owned The Surf letting readers see nudity. Couple that with Murdoch's effusive praise for the iPad, and it's clear this bromance is heating up.
