Fox News: 'Miners Not Out Of The Woods'

The basic-cable watching world sat rapt yesterday as all 33 Chilean miners emerged safely after 69 days trapped underground. It was a jubilant scene, one Fox News somehow managed to make ominous and confusing with a headline proclaiming  "Miners Not Out Of The Woods." The report was about the ancillary health problems the miners might face, which suggests the woods are a metaphor and not some horrible new deathtrap the miners stumbled upon on their way home. Or maybe Fox is right, and the Coriolis effect supplies the southern hemisphere with lushly forested subterranean depths.
