You know those emails flooding your in-box, incessantly trumpeting clothing sales or raging events over the weekend? That's called bacon--or 'bacn' in internetspeak and it's on the rise. And while spam is illegal, bacon is not--afterall it's you who can't say no to signing up for yet another Groupon spinoff. A chart produced by infographicworld.com for unsubscribe.com says that there are now more of these landing in inboxes than the more malicious spam types.
