CNBC Crowns Steve Jobs the 'King of Silicon Valley'

A programming note for Apple apostles: CNBC will a new hour-long documentary on the life of Steve Jobs on Thursday night. The biography will attempt to break new ground on the Apple CEO following the terrific, albeit adulatory, documentary the Bloomberg Game Changers series produced last year. As Fortune blogger and Apple expert Philip Elmer-Dewitt notes, "CNBC seems to have drawn from the same shrinking pool of book authors and former colleagues willing to talk about Jobs without his permission," which includes former Apple CEO John Sculley, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak,  is there, as are Steve Wozniak, venture capitalist Guy Kawasaki and Apple authors Leander Kahney and Alan Deutschman. The documentary airs at 9 p.m. ET tonight and will be repeated throughout the evening. Here are the preview clips.
