A few months before he lost his job as Harvard University president for citing innate differences that lead to underrepresentation of women in the sciences, he sat down with two of his undergraduate students, Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, who had a bone to pick with fellow Harvard College kid Mark Zuckerberg. The Social Network has now immortalized that moment, casting Summers in a crotchety light, emphasizing how he looked down his nose at the students and scolded them for wasting his time. And that seems about how Summers would like it. Recounting the scene at Fortune's Brainstorm Tech conference, he said, "Rarely, have I encountered such swagger, and I tried to respond in kind." He also tossed in this zinger:  "One of the things you learn as a college president is that if an undergraduate is wearing a tie and jacket on Thursday afternoon at three o'clock, there are two possibilities. One is that they're looking for a job and have an interview; the other is that they are an asshole. This was the latter case."
