Facebook is expected to make some major announcements at their f8 developers conference on Thursday. Initial reports suggest that Facebook is going to rollout a streaming media platform and corresponding buttons to boost sharing--"Read. Watch. Listen." is the official motto. One part of that, Facebook Music, looks almost certain. Meanwhile, the newly redesigned home page with upgraded News Feed capabilities, and a new Facebook edition of The Wall Street Journal suggests that there might be something newsy about the updates. Everyone is also very curious to know how Facebook wants to jump into social video sharing with mounting competition from Google+'s increasingly popular Hangouts feature.
