Google's Goggles of the Future Are Both Creepy and Awesome

Google finally divulged details of its much-rumored project to design eye-wear that augments reality with a video featuring their hopes for "project glass," and the results are as impressive as you'd expect, but also a little disconcertingly "man-meets-machine." Google published a video Wednesday, explaining:

We’re sharing this information now because we want to start a conversation and learn from your valuable input. So we took a few design photos to show what this technology could look like and created a video to demonstrate what it might enable you to do.

Check out the video below. Techie reactions are already ranging from, "this is too creepy" to "this is too awesome" to somewhere in between. Sure, these glasses might make us look and act like the Terminator, but the Terminator was definitely the good guy in that franchise, right? Whatever, we're definitely getting a pair and marching around Union Square.
